ASW Law Limited announced that Mark Cran, QC, was called to the Bermuda Bar.
Called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1973, Mark Cran was one of the most junior members of the Bar ever to be appointed Queen’s Counsel when he took silk in 1988.
Recognized in various legal directories as a leading silk in Commercial Litigation, he has specialised in major cases both in the UK and overseas (notably in extensive litigation in Switzerland and the BVI from 2005-2008).
Mark Cran, QC, is also a specialist in entertainment and sports law, media disputes and has represented the likes of George Michael, Paul McCartney, Joan Armatrading and Frankie Goes to Hollywood. He is well- known as an advocate in major casino licensing hearings.
Mark initially trained as an accountant and possesses a sound knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and practice.
He also sits as an arbitrator and as a recorder in both criminal and civil cases and holds a class 2 ticket enabling him to try serious crime.
