Thief remanded over crime spree

A 44-year-old man admitted stealing a 19-inch Toshiba flat screen television and a set of speakers from a vehicle being serviced at EuroCar between May 7 and 8 this year.

Andrew Arorash, of no fixed abode, told Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner that while he remembered stealing the television from the vehicle he did not recall taking the speakers.

In a separate incident, Ararosh also admitted to stealing close to $5,000 worth of tools and equipment from a Bermuda Housing Corporation vehicle on May 12 this year.

Mr. Archibald ordered a drug assessment be carried out on Arorash along with social inquiry and psychological reports. Arorash was remanded into custody until his sentencing on July 23.
