Jeanne McDonald (USA) and Cara Witham (CAN) will be in Bermuda to judge the Caribbean Equestrian Association and Bermuda Dressage Group shows this weekend at Vesey Street on Saturday, starting at 9:30am.

The CEA Dressage Challenge is based on the FEI World Dressage Challenge, where Bermuda competes internationally without leaving home.

The judges travel between the countries. Jeanne McDonald, for example, will travel to Cayman, Barbados and Trinidad.

Each country can have two  teams: one adult team, over 16 years, made up of the top three adult scores, and one junior team, 16 years and under, made up of the top three junior scores.

This competition will also serve as a second qualifying event for the Central American and Caribbean Games, to be held in Veracruz, Mexico, in November.

Dawn Fox, riding Lancelot, is hoping to gain a second score of 62 per cent or higher to meet the qualifying standards.  Dawn achieved her first score of 65 per cent in the recent FEI World Dressage Challenge in March of this year.

The riders in the event are: Dawn Fox; Robin Stempel; Abby Bardgett; Ann Lindroth; Courtney Bromby; Angela Halloran-Smith; Linda Tucker; Michelle Ingham and Kayla Bardgett.
