Bermuda HealthCare Services has extended their sponsorship of Pembroke Hamilton Club for 2014-2015.
This marks the fifth straight year of BHSC’s support. The sponsorship will offset the costs of PHC’s prominent soccer program, which boasts 180 youth players, 50 senior players and 20 Masters players.
“We are very proud to be associated with this club,” BHCS founder Dr. Ewart Brown said in a press conference. “We at Bermuda Healthcare do believe that successful businesses must share in our work in the community. We believe in sponsorship.
“PHC, with its rich history, strong commitment to youth development and community involvement has demonstrated that they not only care about the community, but are willing to put in the work to improve our community.
“We’re doing this in order to help young people develop potential, and we believe that sports are a critical pathway to that success.”
PHC president Jonathan Ball added: “PHC is truly appreciative of this support that we’ve received. Since 2009 our football program has been very successful, our U16 and U14 football program have won their league and won the knockout cup on two occasions, and our senior team has won the senior division and FA cup. Yes we want to continue this success, but more importantly, PHC is about developing the individual.
“We want to develop individuals that are good at football, good in cricket, and good at sports, but we also want to continue to produce productive members of society. We thank Bermuda Healthcare for enabling us to do that and continue our impact on the island, and we look forward to a continued and prosperous relationship.”
