Sandy's man fined for cannabis possession

Thirty-year-old Maurico Bradshaw was fined a total of $1,300 after he admitted possessing cannabis on two separate occasions in January year and possessing a grinder on one of the dates.

Prosecutor Takiyah Burgess told Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner that the Sandys man was stopped and searched by Police in Southampton on January 11 and January 25 and was in possession of 1.6 grammes and 2.04 grammes of cannabis respectively.

Before being sentenced, Mr. Bradshaw asked for leniency and said the drugs were for his personal use.
