A 51-year-old Warwick man was not required to enter a plea in Magistrates’ Court as he faced seven charges stemming from an alleged incident on April 25 this year.
Represented by Kim Wilson, Dean Byron, was charged with attempting to unlawfully do grievous bodily harm to Penelope Henry and alternatively, attempting to cause grevious bodily harm by driving dangerously.
He was also charged with driving in a dangerous manner, possessing an offensive weapon, namely a baseball bat, behaving in a threatening manner and two counts of causing willful damage which resulted in over $40,000 in damages to two vehicles.
The charges will be read to him again in Supreme Court.
Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner granted Mr. Byron $15,000 bail and ordered he stay away from Ms Henry. He is set to reappear in court in two weeks for mention.
