Today marks the end of an era for a much-loved and respected publication.
The presses will stop for the Bermuda Sun for the last time, creating a void that we will lament for some time to come.
This closing is a sad day indeed for Bermuda; it is like losing a dear friend.
The Sun could always be relied upon for having a high standard of reporting, for being fair and balanced, and for being in touch with the people.
They made a tremendous contribution to our community — for 50 years the Bermuda Sun has served Bermuda well.
They covered a wide range of topics excellently, providing useful, relevant and meaningful information.
Their content was always reliable, their stories were in-depth and interesting and they have always had a great team of people.
We at Consumer Affairs are appreciative of our association with the Bermuda Sun; it has been a relationship that we have certainly enjoyed and benefited from.

We offer a heartfelt thank you for allowing us space in this newspaper for numerous years.
