A 38-year-old St. George’s man was remanded into custody until October 28 when he will stand trial for stealing.
Kevin Butterfield denied jewellery and electronic equipment worth $9,050 from another home in the east end.
Crown Counsel Susan Mulligan asked he be denied bail on the basis he may reoffend.
However Duty Counsel Lee Holder said Butterfield’s wife needed him as she was facing major challenges, although he did not go into any detail.
Mr. Holder’s pleas fell upon deaf ears and Mr. Warner remanded him into custody until his hearing.
