Delta Air Lines is giving extra bonus frequent flyer miles for people who book trips to the Caribbean, Mexico and Latin America between September 2, 2014 and December 11, 2014.
You will have to register and book your trip by
September 30.
Trips to Mexico and Latin America earn 5,000 bonus miles in economy class and 10,000 bonus miles in first class.
Trips to the Caribbean earn 2,500 bonus miles in economy class and 5,000 in first class.
Bermuda is included in that deal so if you have friends who want to score a few extra bonus miles, tell them to book a trip and come and see you.
St Lucia
Speaking of Delta, they will add non-stop service to St Lucia from JFK starting December 20. The weekly service will operate on Saturdays.
The flight will use a Boeing 737-800 with capacity for 160 seats, the flight will depart JFK at 8:30am, arriving in St Lucia at 2:10pm. Return flights will depart Saint Lucia at 3:1pm, arriving at JFK at 7:07pm.
Barbados
Staying on our Delta theme, the airline also announced two new flights to Barbados. The flights will operate on Thursdays and Saturdays beginning on December 4.
The first flight will depart JFK at 8am and arrive at Grantley Adams International airport in Barbados at 1:47pm. It will stop in at Atlanta on its way to Barbados.
On the way back, it
will leave Barbados at 4:55pm and arrive at JFK
at 8:58pm.
The second flight will leave Atlanta at 9:55am with a 3:39pm arrival in Barbados. On the return it will leave the island at 2:45pm and land in Atlanta at 6:57pm.
Both planes will use Boing 737s, which have a seating capacity of 160.
Queen Mary 2/James Taylor
James Taylor fans will have an unusual opportunity to see him in concert aboard the Queen Mary 2. He will perform on its August 27th transatlantic crossing from New York to Southampton.
The cost starts at $1,698 per person for an inside cabin, excluding taxes.
Other onboard speakers for the crossing include astronaut Andrew Green, maritime historian Bill Miller and Sherlock Holmes and Victorian policing expert Colin Preece.
Carnival
At the other end of the expense scale for cruises, Carnival has several four-day ones starting at $154 per person for an inside cabin. The Carnival Ecstasy, which departs from
Miami and sails to Key West and Cozumel, Mexico on December 1 is one cruise you can get at that price.
Another is a four-day Bahamian cruise onboard the Carnival Sensation from Port Canaveral (Orlando) on December 7.
You can also get the Ecstasy for $159 for a three-day Bahamian cruise on December 5.
