Mr. J. P. Martens, President of the Bermuda Hotel Association stated today that Mr. Stephen Todd JP has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Bermuda Hotel Association (BHA) and the Hotel Employers of Bermuda (HEB).
Mr. Martens said “The BHA Selection Committee were very impressed with Mr. Todd’s qualifications in customer service when he was in a senior position at Butterfield’s Bank and were encouraged by the leadership role he played as President of the Chamber of Commerce. He will be replacing Mr. John Harvey, who will soon retire as CEO of both organizations after 36 years of service to the Hotel and Tourism Industry.”
Mr. Harvey stated “The BHA and the Heb have made a wise choice in selecting Stephen Todd who as a professional administrator with sound judgment and analytical approach to solving challenges was the candidate best suited for the BHA and HEB going forward.”
Mr. Stephen Todd JP stated I am delighted to have been offered the responsibility to lead the BHA and HEB and look forward to meeting soon with all the BHA members and its social partners, the Bermuda Industrial Union. Bermuda is currently positioned to make positive gains in tourism and I hope that my contribution will assist in that regard.”
