A 36-year-old Pembroke man admitted possessing over six grammes of cannabis on March 22 this year.
Prosecutor Carrington Mahoney told Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner that on the date in question, Michael Clamens was arrested by Police for an unrelated matter.
While being searched at the Hamilton Police Station, five small Ziploc bags and three plastic twists were discovered in Clamens’ shirt pocket.
A subsequent analysis revealed it was 6.5 grammes of cannabis.
Mr. Warner handed Clamens a $500 fine or 30 days in prison in default of paying.
