Queen Bey and Rihanna are just two A-listers among a host of others who have rocked the styles of Prism founder Anna Laub, and the international designer is coming to Bermuda.
Laub, whose stylish optical glasses, bags, shoes, cover-ups and bikinis have been featured in the likes of Vogue, Glamour, Conde Nast Traveller and Elle, will be sharing her knowledge with local designers as part of the City Fashion Festival coming up. Laub, who is the featured international designer for the Designer’s Showcase, began her illustrious career in fashion aged 13 when she signed a modelling contract with Storm Model Management. She went on to gain experience working behind the scenes with designer Hussein Chalayan and not-for-profit company GenArt.
She later gravitated towards journalism and she founded the bilingual youth culture magazine Pure in France and wrote for several London publications including Arena magazine.
In 2005, Laub joined the leading online trend-forecasting site WGSN where she climbed the ladder to become head of content for Europe while continuing to contribute to titles such as The New York Times, The Sydney Morning Herald and The LA Times.
In 2009, she became editor of The Observer’s biannual fashion supplement, O: Woman, redesigning the magazine and helming her final issue in February 2012 to focus on Prism.
