Photos: Crowds make sure Ag Show is off to ‘great start’
Hundreds descended on the Botanical Gardens yesterday to get a slice of the action at the 76th ‘Ag Show’.
The Annual Exhibition, as it’s now known, attracted islanders of all ages who were treated to an array of agricultural exhibits and dynamic performances.
The spectacular international trampoline act, The French Connection, wowed the crowds with their incredible athleticism.
And the equestrian events in the main arena were given a western flavour as riders donned cowboy dress.
Meanwhile, the traditional farm and flower exhibits proved as popular as ever with the many youngsters and seniors who attended the opening day of the three-day extravaganza.
Exhibition planner Georgette Caines told the Bermuda Sun: “It was a phenomenal start to the event.
“We had a record number of participants taking part on Thursday so each building was bursting at the seams.
“And we had some great crowds in too.
“The international trampoline act was a big hit, especially with the children, and they also enjoyed the chance to meet the Governor, the Premier and the ministers.
“There’s lots more still to come, but this was a great start.”
