PLP Leader Marc Bean is pleased with the turnout and results of his Party's first in a series of town hall meetings surrounding the findings of the SAGE Commission held at St. Paul's Church Hall yesterday evening.
"We approached the SAGE Report with a view of informing the people about its recommendations and getting their feedback on the best way forward," Mr. Bean said.
"What we learned from the feedback we received is that Bermudians are interested, engaged and want to ensure that the focus go beyond simply cutting jobs and programs. Raising government revenue and ensuring that any privatization will benefit the widest and most diverse array of Bermudians possible, were just some of what we heard from our audience and they can be assured that we are listening," Mr. Bean added.
The next PLP town hall meeting on SAGE will be held on Tuesday December 3rd starting at 7:30 pm at The Dalton E. Tucker Primary School (Formerly Southampton Glebe).
