Car wash set for solid start

The founder of a new green car cleaning service has been inundated with calls since he was featured in the Bermuda Sun.

Owen Millett, who runs Green Star Wash, part of the Green Star Group, which offers an online-based booking service for car washing using a waterless eco-friendly system, said: “A lot of people have contacted us. People were signing up before got any publicity.”

Mr Millett said the new service, which is mobile and by online-booked appointment, would start on Monday.

He added” “I have people in the wings waiting, people who are not working, who are ready to work.” Mr Millett stressed that, while the firm does not offer a full detailing service or interior cleaning, he could guarantee a gleaming exterior in as little as 30 minutes.
