Zone takes 19 from Riders

'Being in the Zone,' took on a whole new meaning this week in the Perfect Storm League. Team Zone aced out Top Riders 19 to 1 to gain five points on the Razorblades. Carolyn Welch led the Razorblades with a 170 game and 470 series.

The Dream pulled off a 12 to 8 upset of Spare Collectors as JJ Smith rolled games of 205 and 200 in leading them to the victory. Kathydell Hayward Ming had a 214 game and 539 series for the Dream Team. Lew Furbert had a 219 game for the Collectors.

Donald Dane was in the driver's seat as The RazorBlades cut down X-Em Out 14 to 9, Dane had a league high 234, which he used as the foundation for his league high 623 series. Teammate Graeme Furbert added a 202 game and 528 series to add to the misery for X-Em out. Rita Smith was a bright spot for the losers in garnering a 189 game and 493 series.

Standings: 1. Razorblades 150.5-69.5; 2. Team Zone 135.5-84.5; 3. Spare Collectors 111.5-108.5; 4. X-Em Out 101.5-127; 5. Top Riders 93-127; 6. Dream team 68-152.

Commercial League

Sunset went to the top of the league with a 4-0 skittling of Spinners. There is a three-team logjam for second as Do It Best Masters, Double Trouble and King Pins are all on 21. Do It Best Masters won 3-1 over BTC, which was tied for third going into Monday's games. King Pins split the points with bottom club Sweet Life while Double Trouble lost 1-3 to Strikers.

The league's other matchup saw Braves take four from Royal Gazette.

Sharon DeShields had an awesome night as she rolled a 200 as part of her 673 handicap series. Malikah Symonds had a 224 game and 651 series while Kennelyn Smith (192 game) and Lana Hollis (632 series) also made the honours list.

John Adams was the top male bowler with a 244 game and 703 series. Anthony Smith (221, 641), Christopher Leverock (215) and Andre Trott (620) also bowled well.
