Wahoo take Fishbowl lead

Dolphins hurt Piranhas' league chances when they took three of four from them. This allowed Wahoo to climb to the top of the Fishbowl League standings with a 4-0 blanking of Hinds.

Snappers had another bad week as they fell 4-0 to Porgies. Other scores saw Tuna beat Marlins 3-1; Mackerel take four from Jellyfish; Cow Pollies bite Orca 3-1; and Goldfish reel in Barracuda 4-0.

Jackie Miller was in form as he rolled a 269 game and had a 654 series. Otherwise, Vernon Daniels (223, 577) would have been top man on the night. Other top scores rolled by men were by John Adams (215), Joshua Bento (551), Mark Basden (202, 516), Albert Bothelho (195), John Thorne (191), Bobby DeGraff (524) and Andre Trott (495). Barracuda's Cynthia Bartolme led all women with a 193 game. She also had a 392 series. Brenda Burrows (186, 484), Marguerite Lynch (184), Sandra Ford (181, 512) and Cathee Tumbridge (496) also bowled well.

Barritt's League

Pembroke Juniors continued their run to the league crown with a 28 to 2 thrashing of Southside One. Second place PHC was upset by Southside Two 24 to 6.

Other scores saw Young Bloods win 22 to 8 over Logic Rollers; Stash T ripped bottom club The Old & The New 26 to 4; and Buy & sell doubled up Sparks 20 to 10.

Willoughby Harvey rolled a 258 game to top all bowlers. Antoine Jones (243) and Ellsworth Bean (237) had the second and third highest scores respectively.
