She is arriving slightly later than usual due to delays leaving dry dock in the US.
The cruise ship left New York on Monday and is due into Murray’s Anchorage off St George’s this morning.
Winds
The forecast looks fair so if all goes to plan she will be in the east end for four hours before heading to Hamilton this afternoon.
The Veendam is due at Hamilton at 6pm but it could be earlier if the winds pick up and force her to sail straight into the capital.
As of next week, the cruise liner is back to her usual Tuesday arrival time at Murray’s Anchorage.
She will then stay just off the east end overnight before moving the short distance to Hamilton on the Wednesday.
The Veendam and her 1,300 passengers will leave Bermuda on Friday afternoon.
Meanwhile, the Bermuda Islander arrives in town tomorrow morning.
Her arrival will come just a few hours before the cruise ship Summit pulls into King’s Wharf in Dockyard.
Summit carries more than 2,000 passengers and is in Bermuda for a day before heading back to Cape Liberty on Friday at about 5pm.
Friday sees the arrival of the Caribbean Princess in the West End from St. John’s in Antigua.
She leaves later the same day bound for New York.
There are no cruise ships in Dockyard this weekend for the first time in the last four weeks.
Charts
The tanker Anette Theresa is making plans to stop in briefly at Five Fathom Hole of St David’s on Thursday to pick up some charts on her way to the US.
Although her arrival time has not yet been set in stone it is likely she will be calling in on Thursday or Friday.
