Tuna can Porgies

Bottom team Tuna took some of the shine off a great first half of the season by Porgies, by defeating the leaders 3-1 in the Fishbowl League.

Lucky Pitcher led all bowlers with a 213 game. The only other 200 was rolled by Sterlin Smith with a 209. Richard Zuill had a 195. Cathy Kemp was the top female bowler with a 192, followed by Karen Simmons (189) and Margie Lynch (188). Lynch took top series honours amongst the ladies with a handicap series of 644, followed by Kemp (642) and Simmons (635). Pitcher was the top man with a 693. Smith (654)) and Clifford Maxwell (652) were second and third.

Scores: Snappers 1, Dolphins 3; Porgies 1, Tuna 3; Hinds 1, Flying Fish 3; Cow Pollies 3, Goldfish 1; Marlins 0, Barracuda 4; Hog Fish 2, Piranhas 2; Wahoo 3, Mackerel 1.

Flying Fish and Goldfish will play their postponed match on January 2.

Barritt's League

Buy & Sell pulled off an upset of sorts by drawing with juggernaut Pembroke Jrs.

LeVinc Samuels rolled a 227 game on his way to a 557 series. Woody Jones converted his 225 game into a league high 568 series. Sinclair Samuels (210) and Michael Smith (566 series) also had a good night at Warwick Lanes.

Armadillo Ladies Classic

The eight team league picked up a new title sponsor, with Armadillo taking on that role.

In league action from December 11, Debbie Ball bowled a 192 game and had the high series with a 523.

Patrice Tucker barely missed out on a 200 when she rolled a 196. Thalia Lightbourne rolled a 188 as the foundation for her 504 series. Millicent Francis also had a nice night with a 504.
