Sea Venture scored only seven runs in spite of hitting four homers as they lost to Tuff Dogs 13 to 7. The two sides battled evenly in the first as Terence Corday (2-4) and Steve O'Flynn hit two-run homers. SVOS got a solo shot from Chris Coleman (2-4) in the third, but the Dogs strung together six singles to score twice. Sea Venture went ahead 5-4 as Daniel Bordage (1-3) hit a two-run double, but fell behind again in the fifth as the Dogs plated five runs. Back to back solo shots from Steven Simons (2-4) and Mclaren Lowe (2-3) would be the last runs for Sea Venture.

Lovintz Tota (3-4) and Jimmy Tatem (3-4) helped spark the Dogs to the win.

Beach Boyz 25,

Ernst & Young 20

The Boyz scored 13 times in the seventh inning to blow open a close game. Ian Moores (4-6, HR), Les Dziwenka (2-5), Heath Kihn (4-6), Darren Green (5-6, HR) and Joe Miceli (3-4, HR) each had two hits for the Boyz in the seventh inning.

Jeff Jane (4-6) and Monte Palsat (2-4) homered in Ernst's losing cause while team-mate Dan Sullivan was 4-6.

Panthers 19, AF Smith 4

The Panthers had little difficulty in getting past AF Smith Sunday night. One bright spot for Smith was that as late as the third inning they were tied with Panthers at four before their bats died out.

Marcus Flannery (1-3) hit a three run homer for Smith and Darren Longbottom (2-3) also had a good night at the plate.

Richard Medeiros (3-4) hit a two-run homer in the first for Panthers and Tracey Bean (2-4) added a two-run blast in the third.

Tuff Dogs 18, Endurance 11

Ian Bridges (2-3) hit a three-run first inning homer to turn Tuff Dogs loose as they beat Endurance comfortably.

Trevor Ferguson (3-5) and James Adderley (2-5, 5 RBI) also homered for the D Division Dogs. Team-mate Rickell Smith (4-5) also had a fine night at the plate.

John Kelly (3-5) homered and Dacosta Larrier was 3-5 from the leadoff spot for Endurance.

Marsh Madness 22,

Killer Goldfish 2

Matt Durrant (2-2) saved the Goldfish the embarrassment of being shut out in a slow-pitch softball game when he hit a two-run homer in the fifth inning. Other than that, only Greg Bell and Adam Birch managed to get a hit for the Goldfish.

Bill Vanderwouck pitched the nifty four-hitter for Marsh, plus managed to help his own cause by going 2-4.

Team-mates Mike Fullen (4-4, 4 runs HR, 3 RBI), Mark Jarecki (4-4, HR, 7 RBI) and Joel Czember (2-3, HR 3 RBI) helped flush the Goldfish.

Police Enforcers 15, BISYS 4

Garic Swainson (4-4) helped lead the Police to an arresting win over BISYS. Swainson smacked three doubles and a homer as he put on a batting clinic. Jason Ming (4-4, HR) and DeForest Evans (3-4) helped Police to the victory.

Both James Park and Mike Gentile were 3-4 for BISYS in the losing effort.[[In-content Ad]]
