Top 10 martial artists revealed
Competitors ranging from seven to 16 years old took part in two hours of forms, weapons and sparring.
Now that the season is over, Bermuda’s martial artists can be ranked for the year.
Base on four junior events (Sensei Roots’ Shiai, the Bermuda Open, BMAF Juniors and the Skippy Peanut Butter Kick)2005’s top 10 junior martial artists are: Aaron O’Connor, Kalea Steede, Kyle Dill, Joseph Pereira, Kaelin Cox, Alton O'Connor, Antonio Perinchief, Omar Ratteray, Ryan Lin and Stefani Easton.
Based on the four events open to senior martial artists (Sensei Roots’ Shiai, the Bermuda Open, BMAF Seniors and the Lepercq Memorial) 2005’s top 10 senior martial artists are: Garon Wilkinson, Steven Doyling, Talia Iris, Sentwali Woolridge, Mario Legrenzi, Sheryl Ann Weeks, Damion Wilson, Curtis Stovell, Isaac Griffiths and Deborah Brown.
Individual martial arts schools will continue to train through the winter. The 2006 season opens with the Bermuda Open Karate Championships in March.
