Burch rolls a 222 game

Commercial League

Super Stars kept its half game lead over Sweet Life in the Commercial League as both sides posted 3-1 victories.

McQuinn Burch was one of three bowlers to top the 200 mark as he rolled a 222. Billy Glasford had the second high scratch game for a man with a 212 followed by Albert Gordon’s 198. Sandra Scott-Burch made her own mark with a 207 followed by Corinne Durrant 191 and Christine Adams 183.

Emmerson Carrington took the high handicap series honours with a 677. Burch (640) and Gordon (632) were second and third.

Scott Burch was the high woman with a 672 with Durrant (632) and Marilyn Simmons (605) second and third.

Cubs extended their lead by beating up on bottom club Nifty Rollers 27 to 3.

Brian Botelho (254, 651) and Patrice Tucker (246, 633) both had great nights to lead the men and women respectively. Shirley Tuzo rolled here 232 game into a 555 series while Etoile Wilson (223) and Rochelle Harvey (561) also bowled well and made the women’s honours list. Alfred Wright used his 232 game as the foundation for his 605 series. Steven Paul (234) and Christopher Leverock (609) also deserve mention.

Fishbowl League

Snappers held onto its league lead but both Rockfish and Goldfish are nipping away at their fins.

Vernon Daniels led all bowlers with a 267 scratch game. Richard Zuill (224) and Peter Winsby (222) also bowled well in Division 1 Men. Rosheene Ottley (224), Lelina Niere (202) and Vernell Harvey (188) were the top three women in Division 2. Patrice Tucker rolled a 195 to lead the Division 1 women while Carlos Durrant’s 199 was the top amongst the Division 2 men.
