Spicenix keeps on rolling

The top teams in the Continental League keep rolling along. All of the top five in the standings won their matches by taking at least 20 points.

Stephen Paul led all bowlers with a 227 game while high series honours fell to Michael Lambe (542). Lambe edged Keith Wilson by one pin while Reggie Saunders had a 530 series. Other high games were bowled by Wayne Kelly (203) and Troy Richardson (202).

Shirley Tuzo rolled a 188 onto her women's high series of 521. Gina Coddington had the high game at 193 as Karen Simmons converted her 187 into a 501 series. Prudy Spriggs missed out on a 500 by two pins. Scores: Bermuda Pest Control 26, Nifty Rollers 4; Pinsplitters 26, New Hope 4; Spicenix 21, Odd Balls 9; The Invaders 20, Cubs 10, Pinjammers 20, Quickie Lickie Laundry 10. Standings: 1. Mixed Majors

Troublemakers lived up to its name as it knocked over the Strikers 18 to 2. The big win allowed Troublemakers to move into a tie for fourth. Lee-Ann Harvey (212, 584) and Philip Francis (225, 614) both had big nights as they led the way for high game and series. Edna-Mae Tuzo (202), Mile Smith (224) and Vernon Daniels (212) all topped 200. Other good scores were recorded by (Barbara Robinson (196), Jennifer Stovell (535), Daniels (597) and Loderick Holder (577). Scores: Troublemakers 18, Strikers 2; Try Hards 16, Movers N Shakers 4; True Mix 16, Strike Force 4; Minmax Forwarders 13, Gang in Blue 7; Activators 12, Untouchables 8; Fight Back 10, Mix Ups 10.

Fishbowl league

Barracuda and Marlins moved into a tie for first with 4-0 wins this week. Barracuda blanked Cow Pollies, while Marlins swept Tuna. 200s were hard to come by with only Ted Swiss (222) topping the magical number. Gregory White (198), Tim Doyle (198) and Peter Winsby (196) were all close. Rosesheene Ottley (188) and Judy Aldred (172) led their respective women's divisions.

Antoine Jones rolled a 250 game as the foundation for his 622 series at Warwick Lanes. LaVinc Samuels converted a 219 into a 565 while Delmont Tucker (223 game) and Miles Smith (565 series) also bowled well.
