Southside gets waylaid by Jrs.

Southside plummeted to the bottom of the Barritt's league standings after being pummeled 27 to 3 by leaders Pembroke Jrs. There is just two points that separates last from eighth in the league as Young Bloods and Haascobe manage to lift themselves out of the 'strong man' position of holding up the rest of the table.

Lamar Richardson's 231 was good enough to lead all bowlers. George Ben (224), Donald Dane (213) and Miles Smith (213) also rolled well.

Richardson and Den Lighbourn tied for the high series with 607. Ben had the third high series with a 586.

Scores: Buy & Sell 24, Haascobe 6; PH Club 24, The Old & The New 6; Pembroke Jrs. 27; Southside 3; Team Bouchee 5, Young Bloods 25; Sparks 4.5, Logic Rollers 25.5.

Ladies Classic

Upstarts used a team high 685 game and team high 1,971 series to demolish Lucky Strikes 17 to 3.

Kenneisha Simmons rolled a 203 game on her way to a league high 554 series. Also rolling 200s were Carla Whitehurst (214) and Josie Richardson (204). Pat Price (523) and Whitehurst (519) had second and third high series honours.

Scores: Fresh Blood 7, Classy Ladies 13; Pacesetters 7, Changes 13; Hot Tamales 8, Strike Zone 12; Upstarts 17, Lucky Strikes 3.

Mixed Majors

Kevin Minors used a 227 as the foundation for his 630 series while Chris Maycock had a 234 on his way to a 615. Carl Reid (603) and Wayne Kelly (218) also rolled well.

Carla Whitehurst was the top lady with a 190 and 527. Frances Trott (190), Marie Richardson (187) Edna-Mae Tuzo (497) and Patrice Tucker (494) also did well.

Fishbowl League

Piranhas went to the top of the standings with a 3-1 triumph over Cow Pollies. Richard Zuill (226), Elvin Thomas (222), Joshua Bento (213) and Malcolm Santucci (212) all rolled 200s.

Judy Aldred was the top woman with a 191. Prudy Spriggs (181), Cindy Laurin (180), Lynn Cann (177), Ann Mitchell (175) and Sheila Easton (173) all made the honours list.

Joshua Bento (665) and Lynn Cann (621) had the high handicap series honours for the men and women respectively.

F-M Continental League

Pebbles Tucker played bam bam with the pins as she knocked down 245 to lead all bowlers. Tucker ended up with a 583, which barely missed out on top honour for the league, but was till good enough to lead all women. Erwynn Bean's 592 was the league best with Michael Lambe not far behind at 590.

Other 200s were rolled by: Olivette Armstrong (210), Pat Price (201), Robert Wilson (221), Michael Lambe (214), Hilton Hayward (214) and Nathan Stevens (200).

Scores: Cubs 21, Nifty Rollers 9; Pinjammers 16, Pinsplitters 14; Quickie Lickie Laundry 18, Spicenix 12; The Invaders 24, New Hope 6; Bermuda Pest Control 20, Odd Balls 10.
