Simons misses a perfect game by one pin
First frame 9/1 spare only blemish as he then rolls 11 strikes in a row for a 290
Gregory Simons was oh-so-close to a perfect game as a rolled a 290. He had a nine on his first ball, which he picked up for a spare and then rolled 11 strikes in a row. He had a league high with a 652 series. Woody Jones also had a good night at Warwick Lanes with a 225 and 591. Phillip Francis (222) and Anthony Smith (638) also bowled well.
Patrice Tucker, the Bermuda Open ladies champion, was still in good form as she rolled a 245 game and 612 series. Kathy Christopher used her 234 game to build a women's high series of 624. Juliette Smith rolled a 218 on her way to a 544 series.

Mixed majors Bowling League
Troublemakers were brought back to the pack when Strikers beat them 16 to 4. This allowed Fight Back to close within six games after beating True Mix 15 to 4.
George Ben missed out on a 600 series by one pin. He also had the high game with a 233. Kiundea Zuill (211), Wayne Kelly (205, 571) and Douglas Evans (550) also made the honours list.
Pat Price had the high game with a 205 while Carla Whitehurst had the high series for women with a 549. Whitehurst missed out on a 200 by three pins while Price had a 532 series. Patrice Tucker rolled a 201 as the foundation for her 513 series.

Fishbowl League
Mackerel swam past Marlins and Wahoo to move into first. Mackerel hooked Marlins 3-1 in their head-to-head encounter while Wahoo lost 3-1 to Hinds.
Gladwin Harvey led all bowlers with a 263, but Brian Botelho also rolled well with a 258. Hanny Consolacion (226), Lelina Niere (216), Judy Aldred (207), Tim Doyle (202) and Lionel Cann (201) also topped the 200 mark. Other top women bowlers included: Lynn Cann (192), Marj Correia (182), Ann Bothelho (181) and Sandra Ford (171).
Brian Botelho (670) had the top handicap series. Cindy Laurin (628) was the top woman.

Here We Come closed the gap on Ten Pins with a 7 to 2 triumph over Spare Collectors.
Lane conditions were tough as no one managed to roll a 200. Matthew Viney (195), Slim Watson (192) and Thomas Perry (191) were the top men while Linda Simons (195), Maryellen Jackson (180) and Beth Stovell (179) led the women.
Viney had the top series with a 536, besting Perry by seven pins. Flash Furbert missed out on his 500 by three pins. Jackson was the top woman with a 517 while Linda Simons (474) and Laurie Simons (454) had the next two best scores.
