Sharks have too much bite
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 14:
BF&M 19, Beach Riptide 5
BF&M Sharks crushed the Riptide in this mercy win.
The game was played with high emotions as several players were told to cover their shoulders and originally BF&M was told to take the field as the home team.
BF&M were fired up when Paulo Arruda was walked intentionally to get to the automatic out to end the third inning.
Mike Murdoch-Smith had a pair of homers, including a grand slam to help pace BF&M while teammate Kenrick Richardson was 4-4.
Al Busby (3-4) and Desi Butterfield (2-3) helped provide base runners at the top of line-up for Richardson and Murdoch-Smith to drive in. Les Dziwenka (2-3) and Scott Campbell (2-3) were the only Riptide batters to have more than one hit.
P & M 21, PCS 6
A nine-run first inning coupled with a seven-run seventh, was more than enough for P & M to cruise to victory.
Terrence Corday was 5-6 with two home runs while cleanup hitter Carla Zuill was 3-5 for the winners. Aiding the victors’ cause was Dan Cook’s 4-5 and Richard Madeiros’ 3-5.
Mike Musson homered for PCS Panthers while Tache King (2-2) and Owen Darrell (2-4) had two hits.
