Seminars a success
The organizers thanked the public for their support for the six events, which began in October.
The final event was on Tuesday and hosted by Bermuda Sun guest columnist Carla Seeley, senior wealth manager at AFL Investments.
She gave an overview of the basics of investing alongside Cindy Campbell, chief operating officer of AFL.
Ms Seeley said: “It is important to understand your level of risk tolerance and take appropriate risks in relation to your goals.
“Not investing in the market isn’t really an option because you will not keep pace with inflation.”
The presentation included three secrets to becoming wealthy — do not spend as much as you earn; use debt very wisely; and guard your money from losses.
It also covered basic investing strategies, such as protecting the money you have saved; earning income from your money; and making your investments grow.
A new series of luncheon seminars will begin in the fall. More details will be posted on www.businessbermuda.org soon.
