The popular children’s Bermazing Race returns to Clearwater Beach this year.
There are lots of prizes to be won for participants, aged eight to 16.
The event takes place at 12pm on Saturday.
Last year up to 60 contestants participated in the race, which not only tests their physical fitness but also their mental abilities.
Puzzle
Participants take part in teams of two and have to complete and solve 10 challenges and clues. There is also an obstacle race.
At each stage, contestants are given parts of a puzzle. When they complete the finish they have to put the puzzle together.
If they can’t complete it they may have to re-do the challenge or take a time penalty. The race is getting more and more popular each year and is now being televised on the Bermuda Sports Network.
Merle Parfitt, organizer, said the television coverage “has drawn lots more interest”.
“We anticipate a much larger group registering for the race this year.”
Ms Parfitt is also looking for volunteers to help out on the day.
