Richardson leads the way in Continental League

Cubs kept the momentum going with a 20-10 triumph over The Invaders, which helped increase their lead in the Freisenbruch-Mayer Continental League.
Troy Richardson had a good night as he rolled a 237 game on his way to a league high 646 series. Anthony Hayward took second high honours with a 236 and 63. Dayvon Tucker (233) and Philip Francis (607) were also on the honours’ list.
Joan Burgess edged Rochelle Harvey by two pins and Peaches Perinchief by four to roll the ladies high game with a 225. Perinchief has the high series, however, with a 563 followed by Harvey (551) and Burgess (537).

Second Spring Seniors 
In a battle of first place teams, Drifters prevailed with a 3-1 victory over Islanders to take over sole possession of the top spot.
Jim Francis led the way with a 183 scratch game, but G.A. Best had the high handicap series with a 721. Llew Jones (173 and 160), and Gladwin Robinson (166) also rolled solid scratch games while Francis (763) and Hassell (625) made handicap series honours.
Barbara Smith’s 175 bested Amanda Broadley by four pins with Audrey Looby rolling a 156 scratch game.
Mary Simmons had the high handicap series with a 682, followed by Broadley (671) and Frances Baker (240).

Fishbowl League
Amberfish moved past Porgies into second as they reeled in Mackerel 3-1.
Patrice Tucker was the only woman with a 200, as she bowled a 205. Cathee Tumbridge missed that mark by two pins and Rita Smith was just five short of 200. 
High handicap series honours went to Barbara Smith with a 675. Janice Allen (649), Tumbridge (647) and Lynn Cann (645) all made the 640 mark.
Stephen Paul had an excellent night at Warwick Lanes with a 254 game. Gladwin Harvey (241) and Ivan Trott (218) were next on the Division 1 honours. Wendell White (214) and Hanny Consolacion (213) also rolled 200s.
White was particularly impressive with a 753 handicap series. Consolacion was three pins short of 700 and Quinton Mallory rolled a 684.

Damien Matthews’ 626 was good enough to best the men. Jennifer Stovell (208, 579), Edna-Mae Tuzo (206), Shirley Tuzo (551), Kiundea Zuill (253), Vernon Daniels (649) and Carl Reid (647) also populated the honours’ list.
