Razorblades slice up Spare Collectors 19 to 1


Razorblades laid waste to the Spare Collectors in a match that took no prisoners as they won 19-1 in the Perfect Storm League. The Collectors were a bit unlucky as they didn't bowl badly - their 1,521 series was third highest on the night with Hazel Lodge rolling a 170 game and 444 series. Donald Dane (205, 202 games and 595 series) and Graeme Furbert (568) helped Razorblades to the impressive victory.

Second place Team Zone didn't lose any ground though as they were a nightmare to the Dream Team and also won 19-1. Quinton Hayward and Brion Estis rolled 205 and 204 games respectively for the Team Zone. Estis also had a league high 608 series. To add to the Dream Teams misery, Carolyn Welch had two 170 games on her way to a 504 series.

The other contest saw Top Riders defeat X-Em Out 13 to 7 behind Glorita Hayward's 187 game and 505 series.

Barritt's League

The Pembroke Jr.'s increased their lead with a 25 to 5 triumph over Logic Rollers. Second place PHC won 19 to 11 over Stash T. Others scores saw Sparks defeat Southside One 21 to 9; Southside Two won 18 to 12 over Young Bloods; and Buy and Sell took 19.5 points off of The Old and The New.

Commonwealth Games silver medalist Antoine Jones rolled a 242 to top all bowlers. Lamar Richardson (211) and Anthony Zuill (209) had the next highest games.

Commercial Bowling League

Do It Best Masters edged in front of rivals BTC with a 3-1 victory over Double Trouble.

BTC split the points with Sweet Life. King Pins closed the gap on the leaders with a 4-0 whitewash of Sunset. Other scores saw Spinners and Strikers run out 3-1 winners over Royal Gazette and Braves respectively.

The Braves Sharon DeShields (206) was one of two women to roll a 200. Kennelyn Smith (202) and Veney Sims (196) also bowled well. DeShields also had the high handicap series with a 624, edging out Nicole Pearman at 615 and Smith at 611.

Alvin Outerbridge led the men with a 233 game and 665 series. Maurice Lowe (221), Larry Furbert (213) and Anthony Smith (213) also bowled well. Furbert had a 645 series while Furbert had a 642.

Fishbowl League

Wahoo and Marlins were able to gain on the top three teams with wins this past Friday at Warwick Lanes. Wahoo beat Cow Pollies 3-1 while Marlins blanked Porgies.

Piranhas held onto the lead despite losing 3-1 to Goldfish because second place Snappers split the points with Orca.

Other scores saw Tuna beat Dolphins 3-1; Dolphins, who are missing Nelson Arruda, split 2-2 with Jellyfish; and Mackerel beat third place Hinds 3-1.

Patrice Tucker (215), Jackie Miller (200), Joseph Benevides (215), Henry Mabaylan (202) and Brian Wall (200) rolled the only 200 games.
