Piranhas take a bite out of Orca
Snappers moved into the first place tie with a 4-0 triumph over Cow Pollies and a second best team handicap series of 2,392.
The top handicap series (2,485 pins) belonged to Porgies, who beat Wahoo 4-0.
Others scores saw Hinds beat Jellyfish 3-1, Marlins took three from Mackerel, Dolphins won three of four from Barracuda and Goldfish lost 1-3 to Tuna.
Richard Zuill rolled a 247 game and other 200s wee rolled by Jackie Miller (234), Joshua Bento (229), Bobby DeGraff (201) and Malcolm Santucci (200).
The top female bowler was Marguerite Lynch with a 220. Sandra Ford (198) barely missed out on her 200. Other top women bowlers were Ann Botelho (193), Ann Mitchell (165), Judy Aldred (161) and June Simons (157).
High handicap honour went to Stephen Paul with a 698. Joshua Bento (644), Richard Zuill (638), John Holdipp III (626) and Lee Van Lowe (619) also had good nights.
The top female bowler was Ann Botelho (662). Ann Mitchell (606), Marguerite Lynch (628), June Simons (599) and Brenda Burrows (590) all recorded good scores.
