Piranhas gain in Fishbowl League

Piranhas took three of four from Hinds to move within one game of Wahoo in the Fishbowl League.

Cathee Tumbridge's 205 was good enough to lead all women. Juliette Smith missed her 200 by one pin while Pat Price rolled a 191. The top men were (John Adams (221), Tony Vibal (211), Richard Zuill (205) and Joseph Benevides (201).

Tumbridge led the women with a 656 handicap series while Paula Georges (621) and Yvonne Joseph (624) were third and second respectively.

Tim Doyle's 673 led the men with Richard Zuill (662) and John Adams (660) second and third.

Scores: Hog Fish 4, Barracuda 0; Mackerel 2, Cow Pollies 2; Snappers 3, Tuna 1; Wahoo 2, Porgies 2; Marlins 3, Dolphins 1; Hinds 1, Piranhas 3. Goldfish v Flying Fish postponed.

Mixed Majors

Chris Maycock rolled a 257 as he bowled a 664 series. There were plenty of other 200s to go around as Lericio Samuels (223), Kelvin Burt (222), Pat Price (224), Carla Whitehurst (212) and Grace Brio (209) also made the mark.

Vernon Daniels rolled a 608 while Wayne Kelly missed a 600 by three pins. The top women were Carla Whitehurst (565), Pat Price (552) and Grace Brito (530).

East End Winter League

Here We Come surged into second place with a 9-0 whitewash of Trailblazers. It was a night of mismatches as both Up-N-Coming and Pin Snipers also won 9-0.

The men were setting them up and knocking them down as eight 200s were rolled. Rudy Dill topped all bowlers with a 243 game and 574 series. Charles Swainson used a 216 and 201 for his 567 series. Slim Wilson converted his 205 game into a 546 series. Derwin Smith (222), Walter Johnson (214), John Simons (201) and Graeme Furbert (200) also rolled 200s.

Marellen Jackson once again was the leading woman by bowling a 186 and 191 games, which led to her 522 series. Sandra Ford (189 and 473) and Laurie Simons (500) also had a good night at Southside Family Bowl.
