Panthers take a bite out of Sharks
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 28:
PCS Panthers 22, BF&M Sharks 3
A five-run first inning set Panthers off on the easy path for victory against BF&M in softball play.
Tiffany Swan (3-5) set things in motion with a leadoff single and scored three of her team’s runs.
Mike Musson (4-5) hit a two-run homer and drove in four runs for the winners.
Jevaine Fubler (3-5) and Tracey Bean (3-5) also swung the bat well with Bean smacking a pair of doubles and a triple.
Kenrick Richardson was the only BF&M batter to get two hits but Nelson Arruda (1-2) homered in the losing cause.
P&M 13, Beach Riptide 7
A seven-run first inning gave P&M nearly all the runs they needed to put this game into the win column.
Lovintz Tota (2-3) hit a three-run shot to set the game’s tone but he also had an inside-the-park home run in the fifth.
Richard Madeiros hit two homers and was a perfect 3-3 at the plate.
Leadoff man Johnny Ray was 3-3 with a walk to set the table for the batters behind him. Steven Simons (3-3) and Danny Cook (2-2) also kept the runners moving around the bases.
Scott Campbell (3-4) homered and Tory Richard (3-4) in the loss for the Beach while Sharon Schimdt (2-4) and Kyle Smith (2-3) had two hits each.
