WEDNESDAY, DEC. 12: The tanker, Nord Princess, is expected to arrive in the East End tomorrow to deliver fuel for BELCO.

The Danish-flagged vessel should come alongside at the Oil Docks in St George’s at first light, unless a wave of incoming bad weather forces her to delay her arrival into Bermuda.

Nord Princess is a regular visitor to the island and will be leaving us on Friday morning if she gets in on time.

Elsewhere this week, all three container ships will be in Hamilton delivering supplies for Christmas.

Ban

The effects of the overtime ban by Stevedoring Services’ unionized employees remains to be seen but it could force the Somers Isles and Bermuda Islander to delay their return to the US.

As things stand at the moment the Somers Isles should leave Hamilton on Friday at midday, while the Islander will set sail for New Jersey at around 8am on Friday morning.
