WEDNESDAY, OCT. 24: Old ‘n Kickin continues to dominate the Second Spring Seniors Bowling League after a 4-0 whitewash of New Comers.

The team has a 2.5 game lead over Islanders.

Laura Thompson had a 678 handicap series to lead all bowlers with Rosalie Best (664) and Janice Warner (656) right behind her.

Leon Smith was the top man with a 626, just two pins ahead of Noel Pearman. Goldwin Best had a 614.

Thompson had the high handicap game with a 258 and was followed on the women’s side by June Bean (235) and Warner (232).

Pearman was the top man with a 239. Gladwin Robinson (234) and Smith (233) were nipping at his heels.

Armadillo Ladies Classic

Upstarts took over the top spot in the league when they beat Fresh Blood 12 to 8. That coupled with Classy Ladies falling to Hot Tamales 16 to 4, propelled them to the top of the league.

Shereika Darrell rolled a 215 game and 529 series to lead all the women. Fhia Sherlock rolled her 201 game into a 522 series. Ruth Lewis had a 200 game and 520 series.

Scores: Strike Zone 8, Changes 12; OCD 16.5, FIL Dangerous Dames 3.5; Upstarts 12, Fresh Blood 8; Classy Ladies 4, Hot Tamales 16.

FM Continental League

The Cubs had little difficulty in dropping the hammer on The Invaders 25 to 5 at Warwick Lanes. The victory helped Cubs increase its league lead by seven games.

Christopher Leverock was close to a perfect game as he rolled a 265. He wound up with a 669 series. Damon Smith bowled a 243 while Lucky Pitcher had a 227 game. Sheldon Thompson made his 600 series with a 602 series while Renalda Bean was just under at 598.

Kenneisha Simmons was the top woman with a 215 game and 600 series. Pat Price had a 213 game which she converted into a 535 series. Lillian Wilson and Shirly Tuzo both rolled 202 games. June Pitt had a 542 series.

Commercial League

McQuin Burch had a 256 scratch game to lead all bowlers. Aesop Smith was the only other bowler to top the 200 mark as he rolled a 201.

Jaime Ford had a 197 scratch game.

Corrinne Durrant had the high scratch game with a 183, edging Mary Gaye Dean by two pins, but Dean had the high handicap game with a 232. Shannon Rose’s 227 was the next best handicap game by a woman.

Burch had the high handicap series with a 711, followed by Tremayne Bean’s 637. Antar Smith was the third high man with a 619.

Rose took top honours for the women with a 632 series followed by Durrant (622) and Sonia Holder (618).
