The bowling festival was held at Warwick Lanes which saw a large field compete.
There were 98 Doubles, 140 singles, 142 Women and 124 men entered in the Optional. The Optional Event is a scratch division of the tournament and the top five men and the top five women bowl off in a stepladder format for the title.
The first women's match saw Maria Ward, the 2009 defending champion, bowl against Kenneisha Simmons. She bowled 160 to Simmons's 203 who then stepped up the ladder to bowl against American Beverly Houston and sent the visitor to the bleachers bowling a 167 to Houston's 138. Houston carrying a 193 average just couldn't seem to find her stride.
Second place in the Optional, Bobbie Jones, entered the picture, but Simmons again maintained her focus and out bowled Jones 224 to 157 who carries a 199 average.
The final women's match had a different result as Patrice Tucker, the leader, took to the lanes And out bowled Simmons 225-185 to win the 2010 Ladies Championship.
In the men's championship, fifth place Kevin Swan bowled against fourth place Lamar Richardson, who out bowled Swan 224 to 171. Next up was Dean Lightbourn, the 2009 defending champion who could only manage a 194 to Richardson's 224.
Richardson then beat to David Maycock as he pounded the lanes with a 236 to Maycock's 204.
Damien Matthews bowled a very tight 202 to Richardson's 199. Richardson was denied a chance at the championships as he split in the tenth Frame. Matthews filled his tenth frame to win the match.
