FRIDAY, MAR. 23:

KISS Kruise

Fans of rock legends KISS could have a four-day party with the band on board the Norwegian Pearl this October.

The cruise will be over Hallowe’en as it departs Miami on October 31 for a cruise to the Bahamas and will return on November 4, each member of the band leading their own onboard activity. KISS Kruisers will have the rare opportunity to explore Great Stirrup Cay, Norwegian’s private island in the Bahamas. Guests will receive an exclusive autographed KISS Kruise II print and a photo of themselves with the band and their cabin mates. KISS will perform a live concert in Norwegian Pearl’s main theatre, as well as a special unmasked acoustic show on the ship’s pool deck. The KISS Kruise II also includes a Q&A with the band, costume contests, wild theme nights, and of course, an insane Hallowe’en blowout, surpassing any music fan’s wildest dreams.

The Kruise also includes special performances from Big Rock Show, Radiolucent and Yacht Rock Revue. Stay tuned for announcements regarding shows, contests, activities, and additional guest performers to round out this extraordinary event.

Fares are from $750 per person double occupancy, plus taxes and fees.

Senior benefit

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced last week that air passengers 75 and over won’t have to take off their shoes, light jackets and receive pat downs from TSA agents.

The bad news it’s only being tested in four airports: Chicago’s O’Hare International, Denver International, Orlando International and Portland International. Those airports have a higher percentage of seniors 75 and older.

If it proves successful, it could be rolled out to other US airports.

This follows from two highly publicized incidents at JFK last November where two passengers in their 80s felt ‘humiliated’ by the TSA procedures.

One woman was made to lower her sweat pants to two female screeners so they could examine her colostomy bag and the other had to remove a back brace to walk through the X-ray machine.
