I won fair and square
Perozzi is keeping belt
Perozzi, said she was upset at WIBC chairman Don "Moose' Lewis claims and would not be giving up the belt.
She said the matter was a financial dispute between Lewis and promoter Boxu Potts and was nothing to do with her. "I won the belt fair and square. You can't put it on me in the ring and then try and take it back.
"I don't know what the problem was. My job was to fight her and win and that's what I did.
"There always seems to be something going on in this sport. I did my job and that's all I care about. If they don't want to sanction a title defence then there's three other belts out there for me to go for. If he wants this belt he'll have to come fight for it."
She also denied his claim that she had refused to sign a title defence agreement. She did, nobody took it off her.
"I'll defend the title tomorrow. He's saying stuff that is untrue and I don't know why. I weighed in in-front of hundreds of people, you were on the phone to me at the time. Everyone knows the weigh-in was done properly."
She added that she was prepared to fight anyone for the title to prove she was champion and wanted to go after the other belts as well.[[In-content Ad]]
