Haascobe has begun to stamp their authority on the Barritt’s Bowling League with a 22 to 8 victory over Pembroke Jrs. The win gives them a 24-point advantage over Juniors in the standings.

LeVinc Samuels rolled a 261 and missed out on a 700 series by just three pins. Ty Williams had a 236 game on his way to a 602 series. Peter Winsby used his 235 to roll a 617.

Second Spring Seniors

Old N’ Kickin threw wide open the title race when they beat leaders Drifters 4-0. Kickin is now 2.5 games off the pace with Islanders just 1.5 games back. Barbara Smith had the high scratch game with a 206, Carol Tyrell (174) and Judith Woolf (164) were the other top women. Smith also had the high handicap series with a 713. Merle Robinson’s 683 was second best overall with Tyrell having a 669 to make the honours list.

Leon Smith was the top man with a 192, followed by Jim Francis (182) and Bill Bryan (180). Bryan had the high handicap series for a man with a 673 followed by Smith (660) and Gladwin Robinson (650).

Fishbowl League

Richard Zuill had a strong night at Warwick Lanes when he rolled a 244 scratch game. Zuill was able to turn it into a 734 handicap series.

Carlos Estravit and Albert Botelho bowled bowled 233 games, but Botelho ended up with the higher handicap series with a 683.

Hanny Consolacion (211) and Joseph Benevides (206) also rolled 200s.

Sterlin Smith had a 677 handicap series to edge Benevides by one pin in the Division 2 men’s results. Karen Simmons’ 212 was the only 200 by a woman. Yvonne Joseph (197), Patrice Tucker (192) and Janice Allen (192) came close to the mark.

Allen had the high handicap series by a woman with a 726. Simmons (688) and Cindy Laurin (669) were the next best.

FM-Continental League

The Invaders saw their record leveled when they lost 21 to 9 to front-runners Cubs.

Bruce Benevides was the league’s best bowler on the night with a 235 game and 664 scratch series. Philip Francis used his 225 game as the foundation for his 592 series. Harold Minors (222) and Sheldon Thompson (610) were also on the honours list.

Edna Mae Tuzo (203) squeaked past Kathy Christopher (202) and Ruth Lewis (200) for high game by a woman.

A different trio of ladies fought it out for high series honours, but Pat Price (542) had the edge on Patrice Tucker (540) and June Pitt (535).

Commercial League

BTC had a clear line in beating Sweet Life 4-0 on Monday. The win helped them extend their league lead. Shay Ford had the women’s high scratch game with a 196. Tine Sims and Doreen Smith both bowled a 174.

Carla Clarke used a 174 to roll a 633 handicap series. Nicole Pearman had a 630 while Ford bowled a 616.

Alvin Outerbridge’s 190 was 10 pins better than Quinton Perinchief for top honours among men. Wayne Raynor and John Adams both rolled a 176.

Outerbridge had the high series with a 583 followed by O’Neil Lindsay (578), Wendell Smith (577) and Hewvonnie Brown (577.
