Free parking in Hamilton on Saturdays
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 2: The City of Hamilton announced there will be free parking in all city car parks over the next three Saturdays.
In addition to Bulls Head and Elliott Street which are always free on Saturdays the following car parks are affected: City Hall, Number 1, Number 5, Number 8, Cavendish and Par-la-Ville. Motorists will still have to pay to park on the streets.
Edward Benevides, chief operating officer and secretary for the City of Hamilton said: “I am pleased to inform the public that the City of Hamilton will not charge for parking in any of the car parks over the next three Saturday, starting this Saturday. We believe this will make it easier for people to come into the Hamilton and shop without worrying about paying for parking. We encourage shoppers to use any of the car parks for a few minutes or a few hours as they search for the perfect gift.”
Mr. Benevides added, “We believe and support the Buy in Bermuda campaign and this is the City’s contribution to get people into Hamilton and shopping.”
