Fords drive up high scores

King Pins were able to gain three games on BTC in the Commercial League.

Double Trouble whitewashed BTC while King Pins defeated Do It Best 3-1. Jaime Ford and Kenny Ford were in the driver’s seat for high scores this week as Jaime rolled a 222 game and 634 handicap series while Kenny had a 202 game and 638 handicap series.  Albert Gordon had the male high handicap series with a 646 and Wayne Raynor also made the honours list with a 201.

Raquel Furbert bowled a 193 game to edge Wendy Smith by six pins for top game by a female bowler. Terrylyn Jones had a 182.

Smith had the high handicap series with a 767 while Jones rolled a 612 and Mary Gaye Dean had a 606.

Barritt’s League

Pembroke Jrs made an effort to climb back into the title chase with a 30-0 win this past week over the Bye team while leaders Haascobe won 18 to 12 against Young Bloods.

Dean Lightbourn led all bowlers with a 239 game and 642 series. Casey Burgess had a 225 game on his way to a 617 series.

Gilbert DeCosta (226), Willoughby Harvey (225) and LeVinc Samuels (600) also made the honours list.

Fishbowl League

Amberfish managed to increase their lead with a 3-1 triumph over Dolphins.

Lelina Niere had the high women’s score with a 195 game.  It was a three-way tie for second with Sandra Ford, Yvonne Joseph and Prudy Spriggs all rolling a 191.

Carlos Estravit had the high game with a 236, beating Richard Zuill by five pins. Hanny Consolacion (216), Peter Winsby (211) and Wayne Robinson (211) all rolled 200s. Mark Basden missed the mark by one pin. Robinson had the high Division 2 handicap series with a 676 followed by Llew Jones’ 670. Felicia Stevens led the women with a 661 followed by Ford’s 656. Scores: Mackerel 3, Tuna 1; Swordfish 3, Goldfish 1; Dolphins 1, Amberfish 3; Rainbow Runners 0, Porgies 4; Barracuda 1, Marlins 3; Wahoo 0, Snappers 4; Hog Fish 3, Cow Pollies 1. Standings: 1. F-M Continental League

Cubs continued to roll along to the league title with a 25 to 5 victory over Quickie Lickie Laundry. The win helped increase their league lead to 36 games. Sheldon Thompson rolled a 258 on his way to a 625 series but Troy Richardson had the high series with a 657. Richardson built his series on a 252 series. Kathy Christopher was the top woman with a 221 game and a 590 series.
