Fireballs too hot for Habates

Fireballs used a league high pin fall of 2,219 to thrash Habetes 8-1. The huge victory allowed Fireballs to cut into Pin Snipers' lead in the East End League.

It was a slow night for 200s as Dennis Trott was the only person to top that mark. Both Tim Lodge and John Simons rolled 192s with Lodge having a 559 series. Trott was second at 543 and Simons at 519.

Beth Stovell (177) edged out Maryell Jackson (176 and 174) for top game amongst the women. Jackson did have the high series with a 515. Joanne Wellman (487) and Carolyn Welch (478) were second and third.

FM Continental League

Pebbles Tucker bowled more like Bam Bam as she had the high game of 245. Kathy Christopher rolled a 234 while Marjorie Armstrong had the third high game amongst women with a 212.

The top man was Harold Minors with a 233. Sheldon Thompson (227) and Michael Lambe (212) also topped 200. Thompson walked away with the high series as he bowled a collective 627. Harold Minors (625) and Richie Richardson (591) were second and third amongst the men.

The top woman was Kathy Christopher at 610 with Rochelle Harvey (604) second and Pebbles Tucker (571) third.

King Pins continued their dominance with a 4-0 whitewash of Do It Best.

Anthony Smith (240, 703) and Shirieka Lambert (211, 727) rolled the high men and women's scratch games and handicap series. Maurice Lowe also topped the 200 mark with a 204.

Fresh Blood positioned itself for a run up the tables with a 19-1 triumph over Lucky Strikes.

Patrice Tucker rolled a 215 game on her way to her 621 series. The high game honour went to Laura Simons and her 220, which she parlayed into a 556 series. That edged Traci Lambe by one pin for second high series. June Pitt rolled a 213.

Patrice Tucker rolled a 252 on her way to a 651 series to lead all bowlers. The top men were David Maycock (227) and Robert Dill (624) .
