Classy Ladies tighten grip on top spot

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 17: Classy Ladies maintained their lead in the Armadillo Ladies Classic Bowling League with a 17 to 3 triumph over OCD.

June Dill used her 193 game as the foundation for a solid 551 series. Sherekia Darrell had a 203 game and 526 while Norma Smith (194) and Traci Ball (507) all had good nights.

Scores: Fresh Blood 14, Hot Tamales 6; Changes 19, Bye 1; OCD 3, Classy ladies 17; Strike Zone 19, FIL Dangerous Dames 1; Upstarts 18, Lucky Strikes 2.

FM Continental League

Bermuda Pest Control fumigated the Cubs and knocked them into a tie for first place. Pest Control won 25 to 5, which coupled with the Invaders 21 to 9 victory over Pinsplitters, helped move Pest Control into first.

Christopher Leverock rolled a 252 game on his way to a 677 series.

William Steede had the high game with a 258 and rolled a 623 series. Anthony Zuill rolled a 238 while Anthony Smith had a 614 series.

Pat Price had a 213 game, which she built into a 560 series. Olivette Armstrong had the high game for a woman with a 235 and also bowled a 546 series.

Ann Botelho (194 game) and Kenneisha Simmons (524 series) also had a good night at Warwick Lanes.

Scores: The Invaders 21, Pinsplitters 9; New Hope 24, Nifty Rollers 6; Bermuda Pest Control 25, Cubs 5; Spicenix 22, Odd Balls 8; Pinjammers 18, Quickie Lickie Laundry 12.

Mixed Majors

Activators continue to roll along with a big 18 to 2 victory over Rebels to keep a strong first place in the league.

Anthony Hayward rolled a 244 as he put up a 686 series. Matthew Viney’s 267 was converted into a 674 series while Kevin Swan rolled a 237 on his way to a 656 series.

Patrice Tucker was the top woman as she had a 589 series. Tucker also rolled a 214 game. Carla Whitehurst (217, 534) and Joan Burgess (212, 561) also made the honours list.

Fishbowl League

Goldfish took a 4-0 whitewash of Snappers to extend its league lead.

In Division One, Sandra Ford and Prudy Spriggs both rolled a 179 game. Corrine Durrant had the high handicap series with a 615 while Spriggs had a 601.

In Division Two, Lelina Niere’s 192 was top with Yvonne Joseph rolling 187. Irene Mello had the high handicap series with a 643, edging Niere by three pins.

Richard Zuill had the high scratch game for Division One men with a 258. Vernon Daniels (247) and Hanny Consolacion (246) had the second and third high games.

Consolacion’s 739 was the high handicap series followed by Carlos Estravit (712).

Mark Basden topped the Division Two men with a 232 game and 677 handicap series. Robert Flood’s 188 was the second high scratch game while Russell Harvey’s 654 was the second high handicap series.
