WEDNESDAY, SEP. 19: The tanker Butterfly will float into the Oil Docks off St George’s today to bring in fuel for BELCO.
The seven-year-old ship, which is a Bahamian flagged vessel, arrived at Murray’s Anchorage yesterday from Freeport.
She came alongside this morning and is due to head back to the Bahamas tomorrow afternoon.
Arriving in Dockyard today for two-day stays are the Norwegian Star and the Explorer of the Seas.
The ships collided slightly last week when high winds caused the Star to break her mooring lines and drift into the Explorer.
Nobody was injured as a result of the collision on Friday afternoon, but it is believed to be the first time that a cruise ship has broke completely free from Dockyard in recent memory.
The Somers Isles is also due into Hamilton this morning.
Meanwhile there are just two container ships in for the rest of the week.
The Bermuda Islander will be in the capital tomorrow from New Jersey, and the Oleander will be in again on Sunday afternoon.
For the first time since the beginning of summer there are no cruise ships in Dockyard this weekend as the season winds down.
