Smooth like Butter.

The Southland Swingers slipped past Tuff Dogs Docksiders 7-5 thanks to the one-man wrecking crew of Mark 'Butter' Herauf. The fleet-footed centrefielder bashed two homers and drove in six of his team's runs in the victory in the A Division play-offs.

Both Darren Green and Angela Bennett were 2-3 for the winners with Green driving in Southland's other run.

Docksiders only had eight hits with Daniel Bordage (3-4) and Steven Simons (2-4) collecting most of them. Ryan Outerbridge (1-2) drove in two runs for Docksiders.

Olympia Capital 25, Flagstone 0

Jeff Jane pitched a two-hit shutout as Olympia easily handled Flagstone in a D Division contest. John Kitchner (1-1) broke up the no-hitter in the third inning. Devon Sukhiji had the only other hit for Flagstone. Dwayne Basden (4-4) and Jane (2-3) drove in four runs for Flagstone while Dean Douglas (2-5) hit the game's only homer.

PwC 16, BNY 15

PwC scored twice in the bottom of the seventh to slip past the BNY Juggernauts in an E Division play-off game. Zack Rothman (2-4) and Richard O'Connell (4-5) scored the tying and winning runs on an error.

Daniel Nesbitt (3-5) and Scott Slater (3-4) collected three hits at the top of the line-up.

Shaheed Umrani (3-5) and Paul Thorn (2-4) had the most hits for BNY.[[In-content Ad]]
