BTC holds on to win title

In a battle for first place, BTC held off King Pins to win the Commercial League crown. The two teams deadlocked at 2-2 in the league’s final match to leave BTC one game ahead for the title.

Kenny Ford led all bowlers with a 235 scratch game and 664 handicap series. Robert Symonds (216) and Alvin Outerbridge (211) also rolled big games.

Kenndelle Smith was the top woman with a 190 while Corinne Durrant (180) and Racquel Furbert also made the honours’ list.

Smith had the high handicap series for a woman with a 627.

Scores: Sunset 4, Sweet Life 0; Double Trouble 3, Royal Gazette 1; Strikers 2, Spinners 2; BTC 2, King Pins 2; Do It best 2, DC Braves 2.

Standings: 1. BTC 64-48; 2. King Pins 63-49; 3. Do It Best 61-51; 4. Sunset 57-55; 5. DC Braves 55-57; 6. Strikers 51.5-56.5; 7. Spinners 51.5-56.5; 8. Double Trouble 53-59; 9. Sweet Life 52-60; 10. Royal Gazette 48-64.

Barritt’s League

Anthony Zuill rolled a 216 game on his way to a 575 series. Peter Winsby and Casey Burgess tied for the high game with a 223.

Vernon Daniels had the high series with a 591 while Jermaine DeSilva also made the honours list with his 574.
