WEDNESDAY, APR. 25: The much anticipated documentary on the life of music legend Bob Marley will be screened in Bermuda Friday night.
Marley is the definitive life story of the musician, revolutionary, and legend, from his early days to his rise to international superstardom.
It was made with made with the support of the Marley family and the film features rare footage, incredible performances and revelatory interviews with the people that knew him best.
Kevin MacDonald directed Marley.
The film will be screened at Liberty Theatre starting on Friday night with a cocktail reception before the film.
Organiser Gussie Godwin said: “I think people should come out based on this icon and a legend and most of all, he paved the way for reggae music.
“Also we are going through hard times in Bermuda gives people a chance to relax and realise the struggles only last for a minute.
“This is a grand opening so this show will sell out quickly.”
The cocktail reception will begin at 8pm followed by the movie starting at 9:30pm sharp.
There will be an after party at Shine’s Nightclub.
Tickets are $30 and include the cocktail party and entrance to the after party.
