Gang in Blue's impressive run continued this week as the team moved into first with an emphatic 18 to 2 throw down of former leaders Fight Back. The triumph moved them 19 games ahead of their rivals.

Renalda Bean also continued the trend of bowlers barely missing a perfect game. Bean rolled a 277 and also bowled a 648 series. He had a seven spare in the sixth frame. Bean said: "I was very excited. I was a little disappointed with the sixth frame as I had a slight mental lapse, but other than that I was very excited."

Bean said his previous best game was a 298 in 2008.

Damien Matthews had a 254 on his way to an impressive 714 series. Kevin Minors (244), Carl Reid (628) and Vernon Daniels (628) also rolled well.

Pat Price was the hot lady with a 212 game and 564 series to top both leader's lists. Juanita Darrell rolled a 206 on her way to a 547 series with Olivette Armstrong (201) and Shirley Tuzo (521) also gaining honours.

Fishbowl

Marlins increased their lead to 4.5 games over Goldfish with a 4-0 blanking of Wahoo.

Tough lane conditions saw only a handful of 200s rolled. Richard Zuill was top man with a 265 with Alpeaus Santucci (247), Joseph Benevides (210) and Albert Botelho also surpassing the 200 mark.

Brenda Burrows was the top woman with a 190. Both June Simons and Barbara Smith rolled 180s while Sheila Easton and Rebekah Darrell racked up 177s. Kerri Brangman had the high handicap series with a 625,edging Simons by four pins and Deborah Botelho by six. Burrows also topped 600 with a 601.

Zuill led the men with a 667 followed by Santucci (644), Keith Lapsley (616), Benevides (615), and Sterlin Smith (607).

Barritt's League

Baring a complete collapse by Pembroke Jrs, they will win the Barritt's League. The team increased its lead to 65.5 games this week after they beat The Old & The New 27 to 3 and second place P.H. Club lost 10 to 20 to Haascobe. Troy Darrell rolled a 232 with Willoughby Harvey (226), Damien Matthews (225) and Delmont Tucker (225) close behind.

Dean Lightbourne had the high series thanks to consistent bowling and rolled a 645. Matthews was second with a 635 and Lamar Richardson (620) was third.

Armadillo Ladies Classic

Lucky Strikes and Classy Ladies both won 16 games as the pair kept pace of each other at the top of the tables.

Shakia Smith bowled a 204 as the foundation of her 583 series. June Dill (202, 577) and Carla Whitehurst (210, 558) also rolled well.

Scores: Upstarts 16, Strike Zone 4; Quiet Storm 4, Changes 16; Fresh Blood 4, Lucky Strikes 16; Classy Ladies 17, Hot Tamales 3.
