Barritt's league full of twists and turns
The title race in the Barritt’s League has more twists and turns than an Alfred Hitchcock movie — and just as much suspense.
Haascobe jumped into first after P.H. Club beat former leaders Pembroke Jrs 18 to 12. That also helped move PHC to less than 10 games behind Juniors for second.
Kevin Swan rolled a 618 series on the back of his 239 game.
Oscar Andrade challenged for high series but fell five pins short and Chris Leverock topped 600 by one pin.
Dennis Trott had a 236 game and Anthony Zuill a 234.

Whitewashes were the order of the day as five matches ended 4-0.
Patrice Tucker’s 210 was the top game by a woman. Yvonne Joseph and Rosesheene Ottley both rolled 189s.
June Simons was the top Division 2 woman with a 182.
Carlos Estravit had a 239 to have the top game overall. Hanny Consolacion (233), Alpheaus Santucci (213), Albert Botelho (208) and John Thorne (203) all rolled 200s.

BTC widened the gap on second place King Pins as the team beat Do It best 4-0.
Christopher Smith was one of just three 200s as he rolled a high game of 203. Alvin Outerbridge had a 201 while Wendy Smith led the women with a 200. Larry Furbert (196), Zina Jones (189) and Tiffany Glasford (179) all made the honours list.
Wendy Smith, Jones and Glasford also finished in that order for the high handicap series for women with scores of 629, 618 and 607, respectively.
Aesop Smith’s 635 was the high handicap series for men with Glen Frith (629) edging Antwar Smith by a pin.

Armadillo Ladies Classic
Classy Ladies used a big 18 to 2 victory over Upstarts to cut the distance on leaders Lucky Strikes. Classy Ladies trail the frontrunners by 24 points.
Kathy Christopher used a 213 game as the foundation for her 592 series. Juliette Smith had the high game with a 227 and turned that into a 553 series. Rochelle Harvey (537) and June Dill (215) also etched their names onto the honours list.

Cubs have opened up a gap of over 30 games with last week’s 21 to 9 triumph over Odd Balls.
Skeets Zuill had a 254 game with Troy Richardson (228) and Phillip Francis (208)) rounding out the honours list.
Richardson ended up with the high series with a 610 followed by Francis (557) and Harry Bean and Wassy Smith, who both had a 545.
June Pitt lost top honours for high game to Pat Price as she rolled a 220 to Price’s 226, but Pitt would have the best series with a total pin fall of 610.
Price had a 559 series while Kathy Christopher filled out the rest of the women’s honours list with a 212 game and 597 series.
