American Airlines flights affected by computer problems
American Airlines has grounded all of its flights through 6pm Bermuda time because of a computer problem.
According to Flightstats.com, more than 520 flights on American have been affected, including Bermuda’s Miami flight.
Flightstats is reporting the flight is going to be at least 40 minutes delayed as of 5pm tonight. It was originally scheduled to land at 8:20pm but now is listed at 9pm.
The Miami Herald is reporting that landing AA flights have no gates to disembark passengers since no planes are taking off.
As of 5pm, the New York LaGuardia flight was still scheduled to land on time at 9:05pm.
The airline has been having problems since 1:30pm Bermuda Time. A spokesperson said: “We're working to resolve the issue as quickly as we can. We apologize to our customers for any inconvenience.”
